Much more than a redesign, El Cajon Valley High School is getting a complete makeover. S+W’s final phase of work on this campus is a substantial one. It includes the demolition of several aging structures to make way for a New Events Center building, an Administration building, and a new Food Service facility. Creating a more welcoming environment for students and the public, the frontage of the campus will feature tree-canopied entry courtyards, pedestrian benches, and expanded landscaped areas secured by ornamental steel fencing with matching gates. These informal courtyards transition from the campus entries to the landscaped, linear Commons, providing access throughout the school.
