Redefine, renovate and revitalize. That was Sprotte+Watson’s goal for five identical round, tank-like buildings on five existing campuses in Santee — and part of the District’s Bond Construction Program. Our design team’s effective solution: develop a single concept that could be repetitively used on each campus, allowing the building to support essential functions such as a library, a technology learning environment (for students, teachers, and the community), a video studio, a conference room, and flex office spaces. Even better, this single site adapt concept generated construction savings due to its repetitive nature, time savings, and by restoring the existing campus Multipurpose Rooms to their original functions.
